Jim has a degree in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University. Gaining valuable experience as a design engineer and construction estimator he ventured off to start GLD. A company capable to handle planning, design, construction, project management, and real estate development projects.
Jim married his high school sweetheart and has two kids, a golden retriever and coaches his sons baseball team. Spare time is surfing and gardening.
Jesse Park
CFO / Project Manager
Jesse manages Good Life branches in Los Angeles and Costa Rica. He has worked for Good Life Developers since 2019. Jesse also manages projects and logistics for the State of California Public Works department Electric company
In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, producing and creating music, and spending time outdoors.
Isaac Mitchell
Graphic Design Consultant
Isaac has been a freelance graphic designer for 15 years. Primarily working with young companies, he resonates with, to create brands that will shape the future. His work is inspired by the natural world, building, herbalism, Naturopathic Medicine, permaculture, regenerative agriculture, native plants and the sustainable stewardship of natural spaces. He has been creating and caretaking a 2 acre herb farm in Encinitas for the past 4 years and spends his free time sailing and looking for waves.
Shawn Smith
Superintendent
Shawn has accumulated 35 years experience working in general construction and design, and 30 years in landscape construction and design. He began working for his family’s general contracting business and apprenticed for his grandfather, a master craftsman in all phases of home construction throughout Orange County, Riverside and San Diego Counties. He has worked with many high profile clients to build and manage their real estate portfolios for the last 25 years. Shawn is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and an avid outdoorsman, herbalist, waterman and artist. He enjoys collecting Mid-Century Modern design art, pottery and home furnishings.
Justin Freeman
Designer Consultant
Justin is passionate about creating thoughtful and inspiring design through visualizing client specific opportunities and how they will be experienced. Justin specializes in design objectives, space planning and preparing Construction Documents. He graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture accredited degree from the NewSchool of Architecture + Design in San Diego, he is currently pursuing his Architectural license. He has architectural and construction experience of collaborating with teams in a variety of project typologies including single and multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, educational, mixed use, civic, office, medical, ADU’s, religious & aquatic.
